Could you tell us what you did the solve the problem? Are you able to create a new forum post about it? It would help a lot for other members who may be having the same problem as you or for later reference....

When i had that problem my settings were

Keep aspect (in resize method)

and

-vf-add scale=400:200 -vf-add expand=400:240:-1:-1:1 in extra mencoder parameter, the point is that when you type anything in extra mencoder parameters you will get 2 subtitles instead of 1, so I erased all the parameters and that solved the problem.

I wanted to ask is it possible to add some FourCC code when using Xvid codec ...

Like MPEG4 FourCC code and to leave Xvid as codec????

I am planning 0.6 to be a total rewrite of viDrop.
Cross-platform, with better interface and better localization support. Currently It's roughly 70% complete, and works on Windows and Linux (I am developing it on ubuntu). It will support visual themes (skins) too... :) And it will be just a couple of M bigger.
Sounds good, isn't it :)

So... I will stick with versions 0.5** until this version is ready.

Hello, Lokster!
What's the estimate release date for the new viDrop v0.60 (which would be cross-platform) ?
(at least the beta version)
Yesterday my friend has bought a Rockchip player and wants to convert some videos,
but he's a long-time linux user and hates Windows !
Also, I'm planning to make a switch to a Mac,
but there's no Mac version, and running viDrop using Windows emulator
will definitely decrease the productivity. :(

Try re-installing it, Some programs just have this issue.

Maybe a bad codec, but that's highly uncommon, have you tried restarting your PC?
I know it's not a free space issue.

Have you tried messing with the settings or make sure the video file isn't bad?
