No problem, I'm really glad it's working for you now.

Hi to all.
I started using vidrop in 2008 and sometimes, when i use automatic video cut (5 minutes,6minutes etc...) sometimes a couple of second are lost form 2 pieces of video splitted...
It's possibile to insert a "delta overlap time" when using Split function? so when vidrop calculates the start time it subtracts some seconds to overlap 2 pieces of video?

I have four Rockchip-based UltraProjectors (UltraProjector.com - Weather-tight, Stand-Alone Video Projector - Home), and I am trying to find a way to convert video for these things without using the provided AVI Converter program they have as a download:

UltraProjector.com - Weather-tight, Stand-Alone Video Projector - Downloads

I have seen that ViDrop can create video files for Rockchip devices, and that it is just a front end for mencoder (which is available for Linux, Mac, etc.). I would like to know if anyone has mencoder settings for doing a 320x240 compatible video file for Rockchip.

Ideally, I want to get this stuff going on Mac and Linux so it can be done on platforms other than just Windows/AVI Converter.

Anyone have any pointers? I played with this extensively last year and never could get it working.

Wow, I didn't know that Rockchip made UltraProjectors!
So does viDrop work for you?

If I recall, when I was evaluating one of the UltraProjector prototypes last year, somewhere something identified itself as "Rockchip MP3" in USB (and I think the production ones still do). I bet I could post a screen shot of the "bad format file" screen and someone here could recognize it to confirm.

I have never seen ViDrop, but I know of it from Google searches that led me to this forum. I will try it out, but the ultimate goal is cross platform video conversion for the UltraProjector (Mac, Windows, Linux at least).

I will check out ViDrop and see if it even makes compatible files. My experimentation last year showed that the encoder I was using was missing some -xvidcod or something option (so it was not compiled with that codec) and that was as far as I got before running out of time.

I will be documenting my experiments here:

UltraProjector and Mac

Thank you for the reply.

-ofps 24 -vf-add scale=320:240 -vf-add expand=320:240:-1:-1:1 -srate 44100 -ovc xvid -xvidencopts bitrate=512:max_bframes=0:quant_type=h263 -oac lavc -lavcopts acodec=mp2:abitrate=128

Exceptional input- and outputfile. You may try "-ofps 20" as another option. Good luck, lca77

Bloody marvelous! I tried this program and it worked perfectly. I can now upload videos to the player and watch them without a file format error. Many thanks, you are brilliant!

What's the estimate release date for the new viDrop v0.60 (which would be cross-platform) ?
(at least the beta version)
Yesterday my friend has bought a Rockchip player and wants to convert some videos,
but he's a long-time linux user and hates Windows !
Also, I'm planning to make a switch to a Mac,
but there's no Mac version, and running viDrop using Windows emulator
will definitely decrease the productivity. :(

Any news about Mac/Linux version?

I wanted to thank you for providing this. I have been revisiting the UltraProjectors this year (as I do every Halloween season) and I was able to finally produce a working video file from the Mac, using mencoder.

Thank you!
