newbe,

Just to confirm, you are converting to .AMV videos right?

What you can do is try putting the SAMPLE videos available on our site onto your player and see if they play or hang. If they play, then it might just be the settings you used when you converted the videos.

You can download the sample video files here: http://www.mympxplayer.org/sample-videos-dc7.html.

Let us know of the result.

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly.
I have tried to download one of many of your sample files, but none are found when clicking on download.

The picture just "hangs" and the player becomes none responsive. I have to turn it off with the switch and delete the file.

newbe , i'll suggest a player format, the guide is here http://www.mympxplayer.org/how-to-re...ck-vt2400.html

Check after the format, that the videos are able to play properly?

It`s like an MP3 Player which plays Music CDs only.

newbe , what is your screen size?

Do not perform any firmware updates as it would brick your player instead.

newbe , try using MP3 Utilities v4.0 or v3.57, and encoding your videos to 160x128 size.
