To my dismay the movie works no doubt but the sound either lags behind or the video lags behind the sound...I then deleted them and started to make a new one..The result>>>THE SAME!! I have been doing this for the past three days..wat a waste n I have followed what iixorbiusii posted but i don noe where it went wrong...can any1 help me??

Re: Xilisoft MP4 Converter has finally turned ITS back
Test the Xillisoft by converting an original file that you've successfully converted in the past. Does this one have audio problems? If not it's something to do with the current file.
I've run into this occasionally in the past when using VOB files ripped from a DVD. In one case there were several episodes of a TV show on one DVD. Only one episode wouldn't convert properly. Spent a long time fiddling with it including breaking it into 5 minute chunks and trying to resynch the audio in each piece. In the end I was marginally successful. Now I don't even bother to rip DVDs but play them from my DVD player and record them in VCD format on my computer. This is MPEG 1 so can then open the file directly with VDub for editting without any conversion. And the audio is always insynch with the video. Once my VDub editing is done I do the final XVid conversion for my player. |

Hi,
I think from what you've said, snoopydoggy, is that you had been having a lot of success with the xilisoft program until just now with the Rush Hour movie..? Please can you confirm is this is the case?? I haven't tried it myself with .DAT files so perhaps it does trip up with those?? I have now converted over 100 movies, mostly direct from original region 2 DVD's and they all seem to play. Perhaps .dats are not compatible...??? |
Re: Xilisoft MP4 Converter has finally turned ITS back
yes...a string of SUCCESS...tx to you.But like I have said before, when I tried to encode the rush hour movie the movie playback is smooth but....that damn audio...its faster than the video..sorry for the language because I am really frustrated...do u have any other solution. Maybe convert the .DAT file into avi or any other video codec...or just manipulate the video or audio bit rate or just use another software....

Re: Xilisoft MP4 Converter has finally turned ITS back
hi
funny this as i use imtoo dvd ripper which is the same as xilsoft, until now i have had success with converting from dvd until i too tried to convert a jackie chan movie (arounf the world in 80 days) it just would not put the audio in sync, i tried several settings and then tried to play it on the computer and the audio was out of sync ther also, so something in the movie/dvd prevents copying/ripping and is not the fault of the player or converter i tried DAT files with imtoo and it would not work with them, imtoo and xilsoft seem to be the same product. you could try the batman converter - do search for batman - he has some settings in the help file for tweaking the audio timess, not sure it will work with dat files though |
