Default How to fill up a 1.8" screen - 128 x128 leaves black ba

How to fill up a 1.8" screen - 128 x128 leaves black bars?

I was using amv converter 4.07 but all the sizes were too big. I went back to 3.68 and the biggest size (128x128) is too small, leaves black bars on the sides.

How do I get somewhere around 140wide by 128high to fill up the screen on my 1.8" LCD?

thanx
John

Use AMV Converter v4.00 and choose the 160x120 option

Thanks, I tried that, but 160x120 video wont play. It freezes right away. It looks too wide, I can see the picture wrap on the left edge.

Is there a size between 128x128 and 160x120?

Not that I'm aware of. Try encoding at a lower frame such as 12 fps or 10 fps. You'll have to use v3.57 and follow the instructions located somewhere on this site on how to set it to encode at 160x120.

JP, I hate to be a bother, but when I download 3.57 it appears to be the install for v3.06. It looks real old. Maybe someone overwrote the correct one?

I think 176x128 is the right one. AMV converter 4.15 has the option.

I ended up downloading a version from files that says "modified for 160x120". I didn't see that before. It seems to work great for my 1.8" player.

"Bytessence AMVConverter"
from this site will do 208 x 176 which fills my 1.8 glacier or is it 2.0 screen. All other resolutions below this will leave a black border.
Beware mine will only play 10 frame rate and medium is the best setting at 208 x 176.
Suck it and see?
Cheers
Tony
