DViX to XVid

Is there any way to change an avi apparently saved in DViX to XVid? I've got some avi's that won't play and I suspect they were saved or created in DViX. Rockchip player so I guess it has to be XVid. Thanks

It's not enough to change dvix to xvid... you have to change MP3 to MP2 to make it work in a rockchip player

Very true. However I tried to convert it using viDrop and also AVIConverter. Neither output worked on the Rockchip player so I think the original file was formated in DVix. So if I could convert DVix to XVid it might work. Ah well...

Both programs (viDrop and especially AVIConverter) works internally with xvid and MP2, then that's not your problem. If resolution is ok for your player (220x176, 320x240) your problem is turn resulting video in 90°, which is properly managed by viDrop. To use AVIConverter a especial version of AVIConverted is needed.

If you have a working video I suggest you to investigate its parameters using a tool called G-Spot.

You can also check the video properties found in several players like KMP, to see what's going with the working file.
