ONDA 858le MP4 - what converter software to use?

I got a new ONDA 858LE (FW 1.00.00.4) however the convertor software that it came with seem to be in Chinese and refuse to run on my PC. I have try using other encoder to convert my DVD to avi, divx, xvid. I have problem getting any of the files to play on the device.

What software should I use to convert avi/dvd to allow me to view on the player?

Hi ben2001,

Do you have a sample video file on your player? It will help determine which converter software is needed if you tell us which one it is.

Too bad the sample Jessica Simpson music VDO was deleted when I upgrade the firmware. I have not been able to play any AVI/ MP4 on the new firmware.
Do you have a suggestion?

You can only use xvid @ 320X240.
1) Use this software: http://www.mympxplayer.org/free-open...t=aviconverter
2) For absolute best results use the setting "high" then change the FPS to "20" instead of "22" for better lip sinc.
