3.68 amv converter error when converting
 

[b]I have been using mp3 player utilities amv converter tool, it will convert some videos, but sometimes it comes up with error in the status/file section, isometimes it test play but say error when try to convert and sometimes when i try to play it comes up error, plz plz somebody help me i dont know whats wrong, i have tried using different formats wma/avi etc etc

First, have you formatted your player to make sure it is the true memory? If not, follow the instructions posted hereHow To: Removing Memory Hack

Second, does your screen size match what you are using in the converter?

Also, for a reason I have yet to figure out, some movies need to be split into two parts. I've had longer movies convert with no problem, but every once in a while I get an error. Can't remember if it was converter 3.68, but I had trouble with one of them. Try downloading Virtual Dub to split the movie into two parts.

Lastly, you might try downloading another AMV converter from the downloads section and seeing if that does the trick.

thank you, i have set the screen res cause on the amv converter 4.03 its not low enough, so i can only use 3.68 as that goes low,128/96 i think, i will now try the virtual dub and let you know how i get on thank you for repling

eeer i dont know what a virtual dub is? and i dont know where to download from? ha ha sorry, i just a mom, trying to get stuff converted amanda xxx

Hi, click on the link in my post above. You can download it there. You will also find some excellent instructions posted by Lattesurf. Virtual Dub is a program where you can adjust the video settings. You can sharpen the picture, increase the volume, and split the video into segments.

As far as trying a different converter, CLICK HERE and you can download a different version of AMV converter.

HI BOOBOO773, I DOWNLOADED VIRTUALDUB, FOLLOWED INSTRUCTIONS SPLIT MOVIE FINE,(2 PARTS) BUT I AM STILL GETTING ERROR ON 3.68 CONVERTER TOOL WHEN I TRY TO CONVERT IT. I'M BEGINING TO GIVE UP, I HAVE ALSO TRIED 4.00 4.15, BUT THE TRUOBLE WITH THOSE IS THE SCREEN SIZE DOESN'T GO DOWN TO 128 X 96 WHICH I NEED. THANK YOU EVER SO MUCH FOR YOUR HELP THOUGH. AMANDA XXX

4.15 has 128x96 options. I think most of the other do too. After you choose the video you want to convert, click on it and the little gear icon should light up. Click on this to go to settings. There is a Screen Width and Height setting. Click on the drop down box and scroll up. 128x96 is the second setting from the top.
