Hi HungLow,

Some questions for you:
  1. What screen size player do you have?
  2. Does your player come with a sample video already that plays ok on your player?
  3. Are you having problems with the videos not playing within your player or during the conversion process?

Depending on your problem, there's a few things to try.

1. Try using the "Bytessence AMVConverter" instead to convert your videos to .AMV format then see if it players in your player. You can download it from the [Downloads] area --> here.

2. Try having a look at the "AMV CONVERSION GUIDE 1: MAKING BETTER AMV'S" guide as well --> here to see if that helps.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Hi,

I'm sure the admin and his advice is good. I thought I would just mention though that I had to flash my memory to get the player going again (out of a perpetual hour glass state) with fimware (mine was a Glacier 8gb type) and one of the flashes that seem to load ok allowed the player to play audios and not video. I tried a different one that also loaded and allowed me to boot to menus and this one played both, hurray.

I then set about using an amv converter recomended from this site and experimented with all sizes and frame rates and video settings. Mine would only play frame rates of 10 (12 and 15 would cause errors independent of resolution or picture dimensions!)

Good Luck
Tony
