Default Bytessence AMV Converter is AWESOME! FLVs straight to AMVs

I am so glad I noticed the link to this Converter!

The Bytessence AMV Converter made me so happy today!

I was ready to pull all my hair out until I found it!

I tried several versions of the program simply called "AMV Converter" but all it did was big fat nothing and it crashed my computer so many times I almost had an epileptic seizure.

I had been trying to Google for other AMV Converters but didn't find Bytessence's until I just decided to go through the posts in the forum one more time.

I'm so glad I didn't give up!

*It even converts FLVs right to AMVs*... as far as I know with the other program you have to convert them to AVIs first.

I also like how instead of just listing the conversion size in pixels he's added the size in Inches to the selection menu.

The only problems I have had so far were the output path selection box. I had to copy the path in and add a "filename.flv" to the end manually.

And then after I convert a file or several files I have to close the program and open it again to be able to convert again. But it closes and opens up nice and fast so its not a big deal.

Oh yeah... one more thing... It would be cool if the program could remember the video size you select for each session you have the program open.

But other than that stuff this program works great and I love it so much!!!!

The conversions don't take long at all either! It seems really fast to me. I don't know how long they took with the other program, because I tried and failed to make it work for almost 6 hours, I wanted to bust my head open on my desk at least 100 times...

...but I'm much happier now.

Hope it helps everyone else too!

I think I'm in love!

If you like the Bytessence AMV Converter you should consider making a little donation to the author so he can keep coding quality software.

Is it possible to have this converter increase volume similar to how I can do it in VirtualDub (ie increase 200-400% or so)? If this can be automated this would make converting files to my player nearly effortless.

Unfortunately with my Glacier Mp4 player, the audio on AMV playback is poor, very low mono sound, and the volume needs to be preprocessed to a highly increased percent if it is to be heard with any degree of clarity

Thanks!.
