Audio slowly out of sync with video
I have a Supertalent Vidego28 (4 GB knockoff of the Onda vx858 based on the Rockchip chipset) bought here in the U.S. I have tried almost everything to get the audio and video in sync. It starts off in sync, but slowly goes out of sync. Even the sample video (Jessica Simpson/Nick lahey video) goes out of sync by the end of the song. It has the 2.8" touchscreen.
It came with mencoder based software (AVIConverter.exe 3.0). I have tried every setting it comes with, as well as changin the .ini file to even lower quality, and that won't work. It is supposed to support 320x240 up to 24 fps (I think). I have tried it as low as 20 fps with a quality of 300 (whatever that is) and the audio still goes out of sync. I love this unit, the picture is great, it looks beautiful at 24 fps and sounds great...except for the sync issue. I tried to download the ABBA .avi file from the samples area of this site, but it won't download. It is only one that is 320x240 .avi file. But I don't think the problem is the encoding that I am doing since the sample video even goes out of sync. I have also tried the batman converter and had the exact same results. I download the Japanese version of AVIConverter 4.0 and had the same results. Does anyone have any suggestions? If I up the audio kbps will that help slow down the audio to stay in sync with the video? Argh. Anyone have a sample video I can test with? Thanks, john thanks for any suggestions. |
There is another sample here for 320x240
http://www.mympxplayer.org/sample-ro...ons-df628.html Also have you tried the viDrop convertor? http://www.mympxplayer.org/vidrop-v0...ter-df741.html and enter this line into Advanced settings / Extra parameters -vf-add scale=320:240 -vf-add expand=320:240:-1:-1:1 |

I have not tried viDrop yet. I will. Though these settings are the same that I used both in AVIConverter and when I used a command line version of mencoder. It's worth a shot, though...thanks. |
Re: Audio slowly out of sync with video
Ok, I have been working on this alot and have not made any progress. I tried viDrop with the extra commands you suggested and the results are the same. I have tried the Batman converter. Same results. I contacted Supertalent (the US maker of my Rockchip based player) they gave me AVIConverter 5.0. Same results. I have tried every setting combination of fps, bitrate, quality, etc. The results are the same. After time, the video and audio are out of sync. If you FF or RW for a minute, it resyncs, then slowly goes out of sync again.
I know lots of people have had this problem. Am I wasting my time trying to find a solution? If you have a player like mine http://www.supertalent.com/products/...374f342be9ed44 can you please post the fps, bitrate, etc that works for you? I love this player, but this issue is killing me :) Thanks, John PS> let me say that I don't think the problem is with the converting per se. The resultant .avi files play fine on a PC with no sync issues. It is something with the player. Is it possible that the player is bad? |
Re: Audio slowly out of sync with video
Did you tried this values ?
Video: bitrate: 300 or 350 or 400 fps: 24 for NTSC-Source or 20fps for PAL-Source Audio: bitrate: 96 or 112 or 128 kHz: 44 Codec: mpg2 Channels: Stereo (not joined) Good luck ! I'm using this Values with my "Venzero Slickr" 320x240 (Rockchip 2608a) |
