[solved] "Format error!" no matter what I do
I've had this cheap 2Gb mp4 player for a few years, bought it in hong kong, it works great for mp3 music.
http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/f...photos/mp4.jpg I've never been able to get the video to work. I came with a sample that I had copied off it, and now doesn't work when I put it back on. The sample was 128x128 @10fps I'm not sure the size of the player, 1.5 ,1.8, etc. The diagonal measurement is 44mm which is about 1.72" - I'm guessing this is a 1.8"? The firmware upgrade program identifies it as: Device name: S1 Mp3 Player Productor:Wilson Co. Ltd Version: 3.5.37 I have tried every size/frame combination of amvconvert 3.68 and 4.0, also the latest bytessence amv tool - nothing works, always "Format error!" when it comes to playing on the device. The files appear to convert ok as I can view them on the amv viewer that comes with amvconvert. Help please! |
Follow the instructions posted here: http://www.mympxplayer.org/how-to-re...ck-vt2400.html Format errors commonly occur when the memory has been hacked.
The screen size should be 1.8". If I remember correctly that should be 176x128 setting. I can't swear to it since it has been quite a while since I used AMV converter and my screen is 1.5". However, I am almost certain that I used 128x128 for the smaller screen. Hope this helps! |
Thank you, all solved 2Gb turned out to be 256Meg - they must have meant 2Gbit!! :D
Oh well, what do I expect if I pay HK$300 (£20) off a street market. Guess I'll live with short videos |
