[solved] Audio/video syncrhonization problem with Onda VX858

Hello

I have bought on ebay a touchscreen mp4 player which seems to be a Onda VX858 (see the specs 2.8" Touch 4GB MP4 Vidéo 4Go MP3 4G FM (MiniSD up 6Go)), and I have a problem I hope you could solve :

When I convert my videos with any converter found on the web, the video and the sound are not synchronized at all... have you got an idea to solve this ?

Moreover, the (virtual) "forward" button is not working, wich is really annoying too.

Thanks, and sorry for my bad english (I'm french)

Matteo, This is a problem that continues on and on.
I have had the same problem and have found I can get the best results with viDrop.

Download link: viDrop v0.55 AVI XVid Converter.

I found us 22FPS, 300 or 308 bitrate, mp2 codec 128 bitrate.

You may have to put an extra parameter in the mencoder which is -audio-preload 0.8 -delay 0.1

Read the link by it's author:lokster http://www.mympxplayer.org/free-open...rs-vt7071.html

hope this helps

Re: Audio/video syncrhonization problem

Hello !

It didn't work, so I'll try with a 1.0 delay (instead of 0.1) and I'll see then.

Do you know if upgrading the firmware could solve the matter of my forward button wich is not working ? This is not a touchscreen problem because this part of the screen works in any other "function" (music, radio, etc).

If it's possible, could someone tell me how to do this, because I only saw the way of doing it with Action players.

Thanks again for your replies

[edit] Thanks !!! in fact the the ...0.1 extra parameter worked quite well !!! I'll try to make it perfect with something like 0.11 or 0.13
