Default DVD to mp4

Hello,
I just bought a new DVD with "The Bourne Supremacy", and I want to rip the film to my mp4 player. That mp4 player is a Sweex Blizzard MP4 Player FM 2GB. I don't know which software I have to use. And what kind of specifications must I set? Like output codec etc...
Because I'm from Holland I would like a dutch subtitle, is that possible?
But thanks for reading, and I hope you can understand the message, but that is because I come from Holland
Bye Max

p.s. I know there are some articles about this, but I post this because I can't find anywhere the right information for my Sweex Blizzard MP4.

Hello .Maxx,

on the CD that should come with your Blizzard is a converting tool named "Sweex mp4 Tool". Try this first and check the resulting video with Gspot to get all specifications. If you're missing the CD ask www.sweex.com for a new one, because the Tool isn't offered at theire Homepage

Good luck,

Hey lca77,
thanks for your help! I converted some video's and they play well on the mp4 player. But now I want to rip a whole DVD to my mp4 player, and when it's possible with a dutch subtitle. Which software should I use for this?
By the way, thanks for your help

viDrop can embed subtitles into the video and rip at the same time, just select the subtitle you want in the "main settings" drop down list, you can download it here:-

Hi Greetz,

Look at my last post on the bugs of viDrop
http://www.mympxplayer.org/7-vt7071.html?start=90

The resume is that you need to manually replace the file of mencoder in the installed program directory with an older version, for example taken from
http://www.mplayerhq.hu/MPlayer/rele...w32-1.0rc1.zip
in the case you need the sound to be encoded in MP2 format. It is the case of the Rockchip players.

There is also some aspect ratio bug specific not only to viDrop, but also to many other converters and players. I use CloneDVD Mobile to work around it. But then you may need to use viDrop for the second pass, if the output sound is to be in MP2.
