Maximum screen resolution

Somehow, I came to the conclusion that the 1.8" display on my player was 160x128, and that 160x120 was the biggest size I could play. Trying mpxconverter from http://www.bytessence.com/bmpxc.html has led me to the conclusion that it is in fact 192x160, and 16fps videos at this resolution plays fine, filling the screen. This is probably the native resolution of my display, some other 1.8" displays use 176x144 instead.

Perhaps some other users have made a similar error and could benefit from a little experimentation to find the highest resolution their players can use.

Re: Maximum screen resolution

Now I am confused. A little more experimentation shows that although mpxconverter.exe suggests 192x160 or 176x144, and these formats do seem to play at first glance, both of these exhibit visual artifacts when playing, and play aborts after a while. I am back to 160x120 which gives a crisp display, and never has any problems playing.

So is mpxconverter.exe wrong in suggesting only those two resolutions for a 1.8" display? Is the native resolution 160x128 on 1.8" displays like mine, as I originally thought?

i don't think that 160x128 is in fact 192x160, cause pictures that are used in firmware are maximum 160x128 size and fit entire screen.
mabe the only way is to take zoom glass and count all wide and height pixels :-)
