AVI File problems on a Rockchip 2.8" Touch Screen Playe
 

Hi,
Been having problems trying to get .avi files to work on my Rockchip 4GB Mp4 player. Have tried many many different converters and suggestions on this forum but I still keep getting the same message. "Warning! File Format Error!"

Hi,

at first give viDrop 0.55 a try and use the Profile "Rockchip 320x240" inside of it. If this won't work too, try my posted values in this thread:

Your 2.8 inch screen is a little bit bigger than 2.4 inch: you may change the resolution to 340x240 pixel instead of 320x240 in a third trial.

As an extra Mencoder-Parameter in viDrop i'll prefer (only at the third trial!): -vf-add expand=340:240:-1:-1:1

Or some players with B-Frames=0 needed the video to be flipped and rotated: -vf-add expand=340:240:-1:-1:1,rotate=2,flip
