4GB Touch Problem
Hi all,
I'm yet another victim of "cloned" MP4 Players. I bought it from ebay and here is what it's look like, http://i2.ebayimg.com/06/i/000/e1/cc/4dcc_1_bl.JPG http://i12.ebayimg.com/06/i/000/e9/c7/66f9_1_b.JPG I guess it's a clone of one of ONDA players. I'm not sure. It just serves the purpose of viewing videos. :) I got a software called AVI Converter 3.0 which can be used to convert videos to be compatible with the player. But I have few problems. The converter is not compatible with MOV files. I tried various converters but nothing works properly. Also some issue with wmv files as well. Anybody got a solution?? :( Thanks in advance Jester009 |
Re: 4GB Touch Problem
Trydownloading Vidrop from this site, you should be able to convert ok, version .54/.55ha somehow become corrupted for me and I cannot use it, however version .53 seems to be working ok so far.
If you can get v .54 or .55 to work for you, change the frame rate to 24fps and add .... - speed 0.96 in the mencoder extra parameters. These settings worked for my player (kindly suppled by lca77). |
Hi Hawk. Thanks a lot for replying. I tried versions 0.54 and 0.55 before I posted the question without success. (It always showed the total length of the video as 51hrs and audio and video was way out of sync)
Anyways just downloading 0.53. Let's see whats gonna happen... |

Re: 4GB Touch Problem
Make sure you completely wipe any vidrop files from your pc before installing .53.
I had loads of problems with it not working correctly. Im currently looking at using AGK for processing my ripped dvds into Avi/mp3. The video comes out superb along with the sound but as my player is the same as yours you know they cannot play mp3 audio resulting in file error. Once I have the file on my pc the idea is to convert the audio into mp2 with Besweet and then remux the sound and video together into something the player will recognize. Im having trouble understanding how to make Besweet work though as the helpfiles are,nt that helpfull plus the English help doesnt work so im having to translate the other languages to try and understand them. If anyone can do a Dummys guide to converting Ac3/mp3 into mp2 using Besweet it would be greatly appreciated. |

I uninstalled everything before .53 Seems everybody in the site had success with viDrop
I can't figure out why can't I :( All the videos I convert through it, audio plays at its usual speed and video plays at a speed of 10X. and the clip tim is always 51hrs... |
Re: 4GB Touch Problem
Try Avi converter 1 or 4, if you get sync problems try the programs from the link I posted to correct the sync.

Just noticed you bought from the same ebayer I bought from, the players are good and do work very well, its just the conversions that are a pain in the back side.
When you finally get it right you will see what I mean, the trouble seems to be the codecs used for converting all seem so unstable, one day working and the next they decide not to. |
You could also try wiping Mencoder completely from your system before re-installing any converters but be very carfull in what you delete, I had a nightmare when I wiped loads of other stuff and spent a week trying to find the right codecs again.

Quote Hawk "Just noticed you bought from the same ebayer I bought from, the players are good and do work very well, its just the conversions that are a pain in the back side".
Could be eating my words on ths one, the player is good, but after some dubious behaviour tonight I suspect they could have hacked memory. The video playback performs very well with a good conversion, Ive no doubt about that. After performing another conversion tonight and running it through Gspot to check all its parameters (which are the same as previous, loaded conversions), I transfered to the player, only to get the "file format" error ??? So, having read posts on hacked memory, I decided to delete an old conversion from the player and tried re-loading the new video. Low and behold, the new video now loaded. (did it now have space?) Ok, so now I decide to try and load a new video again, only this time I delete the preciously loaded video to ensure I have room. So I load the new video only to get file format error, whats going on? So I go to the "Explorer" menu and find the deleted video is still there ( is this why Im getting file format error, there isnt enough room). Anyway, I click the delete file in Explorer and the player freezes up, wont do anything, turn off, play anything, be recognized by the pc via USB cable, nothing. So now Im waiting for the battery to die so I can at least see if I can get some kind of indication out of it when I re-connect the charger. I,ll let you know later how it pans out. |
For anyone interested, this player turned out to be 4gb and the video I loaded was not formated correctly for the player.
However the file name cannot be deleted from the explorer window and shuts the player down when I try, a simple reset gets the player up and running again and I can still load more videos. |
You can delete the video by connecting to the PC right?
|
I tried that jester009, it shown deleted on the pc but the file name remained in explorer.
