Looking for MTV converter

I bought this cheap mp4 player in singapore recently, everything works great on it, other than I cant get any video files to convert without "Unknown format" appearing.

Screen size is 1.8", 2Gb memory and transflash (microSD) card slot on the top.

No software supplied with it, I've tried every link to MTV convert software on the site with no luck.

Does anyone have any idea of what program I can use for video conversion?

Re: Looking for MTV converter

Try the download here --> MTV Convert Tool 3.06 - MP3 Player Utilities 3.06.

Should be working now.

"Unknown format" :(

I've got a sample file that came with it, would someone be able to look at it for a clue of the format?

Here's a link to the sample: http://www.badongo.com/file/10123098

Any help would be great!

Re: Looking for MTV converter

Can you try downloading the samples from here --> Sample Videos and try them on your player?

It's very unusual of an ACTIONS chipset player to have a 1.8" player that plays .MTV now a days as the upgrade .AMV video format came into player around the 1.5" screen and above players. I have old 1.2" LCD screen players that play .MTV format.

Have you also checked what's on your CD as well?
Have you tried contacting the seller about it? The MTV Convert Tool I have might be too old and might not be compatible with your player that's all so hence the "format error" as perhaps it's not in the correct format or screen resolution for your player.

None of the samples download from the link, all missing or broken links.

Sorry about that.
Fixed now.
The Crazy Frog and Santana videos are both working now. Sorry about the confusion.

Crazy frog, unknown format. Santana has a corrupt zip.

How do I confirm the chipset used in it?

MP3 works well, that'll do until I figure it out.

Try downloading Gspot, then drop your video file that came with player into gspot and it should tell you all you need to know on the format used/resolution/audio etc.
