Default *.mp4 files not visible

Hello.
My friends bought me this MP3/MP4 player. It has no info about who made it, or what model it is, but I saw pictures of the same player on these forums, so I think you might help.

It is a 1 GB model.
in the Firmware version section it is written:

LSD_9112_20
2007_06_19
9.0.50
2005.01.09

Small chip:
AK1025
8A025A8 0AH

Memory:
Samsung 810
K9G8G08U0M
PCB0

On the main board near the chipsets it is written:
TCH B828 V9
but on the other part of the PCB under the battery it says the same except V6 instead of V9.

I tried copying *.mp4 video files to it and playing but player doesn't seem to see them. It doesn't even see a folder with those files. If I copy them into root folder or another visible folder, player can't see the files themselves. But it has some kind of *.amv video file, which is visible and playing OK.

Is there a way to play MP4 files on it?
Is there any new firmware available for my player?

Thanks in advance

No. There is no way you could play mp4 on it. If there is a way, it would be no use because of the small resolution.

I don't really know why they call it MP4 PLayer though... :?

Hi SergSlim,

By your player's firmware version (9.0.50) and chip (AK1025), it tells me you have an ACTIONS Chipset player.

You will need the AMV Convert Tool, which is part of the MP3 Player Utilities.

This can be downloaded from our site by clicking on the [Downloads] section on the left hand side menu bar.
In the [Tools] category, there is a sub-category called "MP3 Player Utilities", click on that.

So is there any new firmware available for this model?
Is there any manual in English for this player?
As far as I understand it can play only tat AMV video files, and nothing else from video?
