Default viDrop: converting a DVD to an AVI file one step at a time

OK so I have a Rock chip player and have downloaded VIdrop. I put my DVD in and there are millions of files. Please can someone say in a step-by-step way how I convert the DVD to an avi for my player. Like, "go to the video folder, select a file and then drag it to wherever. Then click this button." Do I do one file, or many? If more than one, how do I process them all? Do I end up with multiple AVI files at the end?

I've looked through these forums and searched the net but it is all written in absolute gobbledeegook. Please please can someone just say it one step at a time, not assume ANYTHING and help me convert the DVD? When I have an AVI file I can put it on the player. That much I can do

Many thanks,

Phil.
