Default Screen Resolution ?

Hi !

I recently bought a generic Mp5 player. Same as this one :

http://img379.imageshack.us/my.php?i...1689470aa8.jpg

It has 4gb memory and also has "rockchip" or something. It played all the xvid files i tried, 320x240, 640x480 or custom widescreen resolutions.

The question is what is this players exact screen resoluton? Some says its 320x240, in some ebay pages its 400x240. It seems some kind of widescreen to me so i guess its 400x240 ?

Secondly, is resizing higher resolution videos drains battery fast ?

Thnaks for help, and sorry for my english...

I'll guess that the real screensize is 400x240 too, because the Rockchips RK27xx-Chips are capable to play avi-files (xvid-coded) up to the resolution of 800x480 pixel. My english isn't better thän yours ... rgrds, lca77

Ica77 is right. I have this player too, it's 400x240 like all 2706 widesceen players.

@estranged
I sure you are right about the battery consumption as the processor is gonna have to work a bit
harder to do the conversion.

Never done any actual tests myself to see if it's worth the extra effort converting the vids though.

estranged: do you have to convert files to play on that player or does they work without converting?

It's a RK2706 based player, most videos should play without conversion, including youtube .flv videos.
