Vulnerabilities in chinachip s/w for Onda XZ777
I have an Onda VX777 and have been using the Video Converter software that came on the CD.
I just installed Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 and ran an A/V test and it told me that it found over 500 vulnerabilities. They were all pinned down to the chinachip folder for Onda on my hard drive.
Kaspersky directed me to the Secunia website which told me that these vulnerabilities were due to an old version of Apple QuickTime in the folder. It said that these were 'critical' problems. I have now removed this software and the A/V test now passes.
But: has anyone come across this before?
How can I get an updated QuickTime into that folder?
Is there another video converter that will convert VOB files to rmvb format for the VX777 or is there another solution? I doubt that the Onda s/w will be updated...?
XP Pro
Thanks.
