easytech mp4 player converter software fails on convert

Please help me,
I have the easy tech mp4 player 4gb i got it just today and im having trouble with the supplied converter.

whenever i browse to find the file to convert its not on the list....so when i change the file type to all files i can see it...but when i go to hit convert it says error success(0)fail(1)

i even tried the aviconverter...worked for my older onda mp4 player...but player fails to read th file...wont even come up on the movie list under root.

PLease help i know its a cheap 25$ mp4 player but i need it to hold me off till i get a better ipod touch...Thanks!!

I think that player plays AMVs not AVIs. Download MP3 Player Utilities from here (version 4.something i believe will produce video for your screen size) and give them a spin.

Hi macky941,

Do you have a SAMPLE video file on your player? If so, check out the file extension of that sample file. Check whether it's .AMV or .AVI as they are both very different and only one will work on your player.
