[solved] touch mp4 player - how to convert video

Hello, I have a question for you guys.

I have a generic touch mp4 player from China. It came with a disk that has a SIM card editor 4.0 that doesn't work. I need this in order to view and convert videos. I've already tried the AVI and AMV converters and they don't work. Also it says I have a tv show in there but it won't let me erase it, and it doesn't show up in my computer when connected. Any ideas on how to go about getting this to work? :?
Thanks ahead of time.

If it's touch type, most probably is Rockchip based player, not Actions. To my knowledge, Rockchip players wont play AMV video, they play AVI/XVID (for what you can find many converters out there) and their own RMV format. What do your player look like?

Try with AVConverter 2.0 - http://rapidshare.com/files/11401510...etup_.rar.html

You need to use viDrop:-

Set the video resolution preset to Generic Rockchip 320x240

Ok, here's a stupid question. I downloaded the ViDrop but it won't let me open it or use it. How do I do this. According to my add/delete programs it's there, I just can't use it? Thanks.

Ok finally, figured out how to get this open, now, how would I use it to work with my particular player. Thanks.

Hi I have the same mp4 player. I installed everything from the disk that came with it but when I went to open Media Manager to put my mp3/mp4s in the player it said "installation can not be found. Try the installation again using a valid copy of the installation package Msein.msi.

can you explain to me how to add files to the file plz? thanks

foster01,

Best to create a new post for your problem as it's not related to this one.

The easiest way to get the files onto your player is to open it from My Computer. You should see a "removable disk "drive. Just treat it like a normal USB memory stick/key or even a floppy disk. Just copy files onto it like you would to a USB memory stick/floppy disk drive.

Hope that helps.
