converting for Rockchip

This looks like a great piece of software - thank you for making it available.
Unfortunately even though it seems to install ok (Windows XP) and loads and previews eg avi files I want to convert, when I click convert or run all I get is a brief flash of the DOS screen and then nothing.
No new files appear in my destination folder. No progress bar etc.

Have I done something dumb in installing? I have selected the mencoder and mplayer paths in the 'Other' tab.

I tried with avi's from different sources, also with a youtube file. same behaviour.

Regards, and happy holidays to all (especially those playing with their new mp4 Christmas gifts!!).

Paulo.

Binh - yes I am talking about vidrop (it was in the title of my post).
I have since had some success by NOT specifying the mplayer and mencoder paths in the Other tab. The program seems to run now, as long as I preview first, which seems necessary to load the file.

I am doing this to try and get usable videos for a Karbon MP-932 MP4 player that uses the Rockchip 2608A chipset.

I noticed other forum posters saying that they loaded videos or other files but could not see them on the player. It appears necessary to tell the player to update its playlist, then they can be seen.

So farr I have tried it on short videos, next step is to tackle a full-length film and see if video and audio stay in synch.

Thanks for this forum.

Paulo.

Hi Paulo,

Have a look at the original post for viDrop here --> viDrop - free open-source converter for RockChip players.

lokster is the creator of the software. I think it might be best to post your problem in there as well as sending him a PM just so he knows. That way he can look at it if it's an issue with the software.
