[solved] My mp4 player reads AMV files but won't play them..

First off; im new here, second, sorry if this is in the wrong spot.

My Mp4 player says that it plays AMV videos only but when i put them on it; using the "explorer" to browse I can find them but it won't play them.

Here's a link to Amazon of what my MP4 player looks like if that helps any.

8GB 2.8" TFT Touch Screen MP3/MP4/MP5 Personal Multimedia Player

would help if someone knows whats going on!

The linked Player looks like a typical RockChip-Player who will only play xvid-coded avi-files with mp2-sound. Please download and install viDrop here from Downloads/Tools: viDrops "Generic Rockchip 320x240 Preset" should work for this kind of player.

I don't know if you've ever seen someone actually use one of these mp4 players or use one yourself but when i try to play the game on it, it's always paused. I've tried pressing all the buttons and touching the screen but it won't unpause. Am i perhaps overlooking something? ( It says nothing about it in the mp4 manual / help files )

I think the game wasn't properly installed in your player, or not compatible with the touchscreen. There are a number of Rockchip games in the Download section here, you should try them out. They can be installed without reflashing the firmware, but not all players recognize them.

These "thumbs.db" files are where the little preview of images are saved in Windows (when you set the folder view as Miniatures), they are used only for that and are safe to delete anytime, they got nothing to do with the player itself.

Try this to unpause your game.

Go to the (paused) game.
Then slide your [on/off] slider button to the on position and it should unpause the game.

Try that and let me know if it works or not.
