i bought a missil SD-2801 mp4 player and i can't download videos to the player.. (no problem with mp3 music files)
i tape tv shows in windows media center in dvr-ms format as well as make video clips with windows movie maker in wmv format. i have tried using the converter tool on the cd it comes with but it still says its an invalid format.. do you know a good free video converter i can use?.. i did a google search and tried a few but they dont work, i tried nero digital converter but that didnt work either.. the player is compatible with MPEG4 (AVI) video format.. how do i convert these videos to AVI that will work on this player?? I have windows xp, media center edition....any ideas? |
Can you give us some more information about your player?
Go into your player's menu and select [Setup] then "Firmware Info" or something similar and post that information here. Where did you buy it from and can you post the URL? Generally the "invalid format" tells me that you may need to convert your videos to a specific screen size resolution, such as 320 by 240. There is a very good video converter called "viDrop" which is at the top of the "Video Related" section of the forum which you can use but the settings will depend on your player and it's screen size. Look forward to hearing from you. |
hmm.. maybe you have a chipod.. they usually play amv files for videos not mp4... in that case you have to download an amv converter which is available on this site...
