[solved] Can't play videos on 2.8 Inch Touch Screen Mp4
 

hi i just got a 2.8 Inch Touch Screen Mp4 Player - 4GB , i can play the avi that was already in the player . but i cant seen to get any i put in to work i tryed avi's divx i tryed some avi converter nun do any think good,is it i just have to update my firmware or somethink , think its a OME brand somthink like that.
can some one post some free converter programs il try more.
can some one post a short avi or xvid under 600kb that works in theres so i can test if its falty.

I have a 2.8inch touch screen MP4 player as well that also plays .AVI videos.

The thing is you have to make the videos with the RIGHT SCREENS SIZE or it will play.

Take a look at this post here: viDrop - free open-source converter for RockChip players.

You can download viDrop (freeware and created by a member on this board) and with it's presets, select 320x240 and it should work fine.

i have the same problem with the 16gb version of this player. I am going to try this and post back in a little bit...

in the mean time, anybody know how to install new stuff on this player? can a new firmware be installed? can new games be installed? and other programs or functions that it doesn't come with?

one tip i have found out: do not try to use the calibrate function on this thing, it will automatically mess up the touch screen so that you can't access most of the settings without spending hours pressing different areas. i eventually fixed it somehow by formatting and connecting and disconnecting to my computer over and over again until it reset. pressing the reset button or switching setting to default didn't work to fix it either.

nice! worked like a charm, very easy to use, just selected the preset for generic rockchip 320x240 high.

now i can watch the big bang theory on this baby!

for some reason the picture is clearest when you tilt the screen at a slight angle instead of viewing it straight on with this player.

yep cool good stuff bro i used this seting works well to [ iOcean 2.4'' (320x240).ini ]
