Default Cannot play videos

I am having a problem playing videos on my S1MP3. There is a video onboard that plays in the following format:

file type = .amv
Frames per sec = 12
Video Size = 160x120
Audio sample rate = 22050,1 channel

However, when I convert any of my .avi files to .amv using MP3 Utilities 4.15 to the above format I get the "wrong format" error. What's up?

Firmware is:

BKSD91N628_33
2008-10-16
9.1.52
2005-01-09

I scanned the chip and got this:

ic version = 0x0000
storage info = 0x0602, 0x0000, 0x0000, 0x0000
device = 'S1 MP3 Player'
manufacturer = 'Wilson Co. Ltd.'
bootflash type = 'F285'
brom version = 3.0.80
firmware version = 9.1.52

s1res shows this:

Flash Type: F285
File ID: 0x0FF0AA55
Vendor ID: 0x10D6
Product ID: 0x1101
Version: 9.1.52
Date: 01/09/2005
Info: SDK-ITEM/ACTIONSGongee.ZH
Manufacturer: Wilson Co. Ltd.
Device Name: S1 MP3 Player
USB Attribute: USB 2.0
USB ID: (HS) Flash Disk
USB Revision: 1.00

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Brad

Heinz,

I was able to figure out how to format movies. However, I regret to inform you that this S1MP3 is not what was advertised. The memory is only 1GB not 8GB.

Since there was a lack of instructions, I went to a website that specializes in S1MP3 products.

http://mympxplayer.org/

They have tons of information about different S1MP3 players, how to use them, how to format movies, how to verify memory (due to memory hacks).

I noticed that when I copied MP3 files to the player, it duplicated the files multiple times. Furthermore, I was not able to delete the duplicated files without formatting the entire drive. This exposed the memory hack as stated here http://mympxplayer.org/how-to-removi...ck-vt2400.html .

Therefore, I request one of the following as compensation:

Return for credit with full refund.

Or

A discount on the current player in line with a price equivalent with a 1GB MP3 Player ( 1GB MP3 are around ~$12.00 to $15.00). With credit to be issued back to my paypal account.

Or

A replacement model that is 8GB.

I cannot be certain that you are aware of the issue, however you are the retailer and therefore responsible. If you are not aware of the issue, then you must seek compensation from your vendor who cheated you.

I await your prompt reply.

Regretfully,

Hello Bradley

sorry for your troubles, looks like we got cheated. But anyway I refund you $ 20.00.
Thank you for telling me about the wrong memory amount, we paid for 8GB. We buy from the same supplier
for a long time and never had a complain about that. Your player was in the last shipment from January, since that date we had no new order. Will check with the supplier.
Thank you for your corporation.
Sincerely
Heinz
