Unhappy None of the amv converted files are playing on my MP3 player

My MP3 player has no brand. The only info is about the firmware version which is :

MP3 PLAYER
QSB07_44T
2009-03-04
9.1.54
2005-01-09

I am not able to play any amv files. It always says format error. I have tried all the converters and different resolution. THe 96x64 res was working but that too is not working now? Can someone help me....I am new in here and less experienced...

Ronnie

Hi Ronnie,

Welcome to the site.
Can I get you to do a FORMAT of your player please? Try within Windows first and then try playing your AMV videos. Of course backup what you want to keep before the format. Try that and let us know how it goes. It may have a memory hack on the player which is causing the "format errors" because you mentioned a video played before but now it won't which sounds very odd.

Take a look at this thread which is rather recent and similar: http://mympx.org/forum/video-related/44020-solved-mp4-video-playing-problem.html#post281778.

Use s1res v4.1 to extract the firmware and upload it here.

Also, opening it up and getting the CPU, display, and board ID would be helpful.

So you can't play photos or radio as well?
What happens when you try?
Do you get any error messages?
Also, you have tried following the instructions from the guide on removing the memory hack?
