Thanks.
Can you tell us what the problem was originally?
Also, what the solution is?
It would be good to still have your original post with the problem because then someone may have the same problem can search and hopefully use your solution.

I was sure that none of the encoding presets on viDrop were working for my mp4 player, I must have missed 224x176 because it finaly worked, strange thing is though, when I was going through all the other presets 400x240, 320x240 etc NONE of them would even appear on my mp4 player, it just stated "no file" when I browsed for video files, not even a file format error after opening the file, just no file at all.

I dont see how the FPS, bitrate and resolution can mean the difference between the file being detected or not, because it couldnt be dependant on file format/codec/FourCC codec seeing as they are the same for ALL the "generic Rockchip" presets.

hope that helps anyone

Also since I bought the player years ago, if the music playlist is above a certain number of songs, scrolling upwards to get to the other end of the list causes the player to freeze and the audio to play extremley slowlye, the larger the list the longer it takes to get to the other side of it, more recently I've been getting device i/o errors when copying files to the mp4 player in windows, aswell as the device randomly becoming an "unrecognised usb device", could I improve performance with a firmwarte upgrade or does firmware not address this sort of thing. It was a cheap player when it was new and its a few years old now so I wont be surprised if these are its death throes :P
