[solved] Please help with unknown mp4 player video format
2 Attachment(s)
Hello all,
I recently purchased an "mp5" player (pics attached) but I am unable to play an videos. I know that avi files work on it, but there seems to be a problem when I convert any mpg or flv files to avi. I get an error message "Exceptional file. Play any other file." when I try to play an avi file on it. Firmware: v.8.1.090816_8_12_17 Would be grateful for any help in how to convert to that particular type of avi file, as I have tried everything I know of, tried using same ratio, bitrate, etc, and had a look at several forums. Many thanks in advance |
Hello Cloud,
did you tried these Rockchip-Testvideos too ? Download Sample Rockchip videos with different screen sizes - MyMPxDownloads Please download them and follow the instructions. The played video should show you the right kind of values you're needing about conversion. Try these values with viDrop. regards, lca77 |
Hi lca77,
Thank you so much for the suggestion. I downloaded the test videos, and figured out the correct values. Converted & added files to the player, but battery seems to drain very quickly. Btw, the settings that worked for my player are 128 x 160, 12fps, mp2. Thanks again lca77 Cloud |
