"file format error" when playing videos on MP4 player
 

i recently got a mp4 player that is similar to the i touch. i recieved no software or anything with it and have no idea what type of videos it supports. ive tried almost everything (avi, mtv, etc.) but it keeps saying "file format error".

All i know is that its from singapore and the seller that i purchased it from on ebay is now no longer a registered user! its supposed to be a 16 gb also, but i dont know how to see how much storage capacity it has. i feel like i got jipped and ive been online for hours trying to see what video it will play. if anyone can help me at all i would be very very thankful!

thanks warette, but for some reason i cant download the software on my computer!jeez i just cant get any luck! :D

Try downloading this here: Rockchip videos with different screen sizes
If your player is a Rockchip based player, it should play one of the files.
If it doesn't, then it's not a Rockchip player and we have to look at chipset your player has for it to play the correct video format.
