Sort of. These things are usually in FAT32 format. FAT32 takes less than NTFS. Like when I bought an 8BG flash stick, it wouldn't let me go above 2 or 4GB until I reformatted with NTFS. Now it works great. But the thing is, you can totally trash your player if you reformat with NTFS. I've heard bad things from that. Like your OS might not recognize it anymore if you do that. I would say, research that first.

That makes a lot of sense
If I re-format the drive in NTFS and it is not recognized can I then fix things by re-formating again in FAT32?

Do you have a link to anywhere that discusses re-formating a rockchip 27XX with NTFS?

Thank you so much

I did a little researchand it looks as though doing a NTFS format is a good thing-see
[Tut] hwo to remove memory-hack on Rockchip Mp4-players.

But the other part of the lesson is that it all goes back to FAT32 after reset or did I misunderstand

If it just goes back to FAT32 will i have wasted my time? or do I just avoid doing a reset?

Thank you

That's kind of the problem with these players. If you do NTFS, the firmware is what I think gets messed up and then that's why your OS won't recognize it. The firmware is not equipped to deal with NTFS. So then you are forced into going back to FAT32. If you have a backup copy of your firmware, you can give it all a try and see what it does.
