Default Video is made from green and violet "bricks"

I have rockchip player with 2.8" touchscreen and no camera.
I have tried several different video converting software and found that player shows "Format Error" for all videos I tried, except those converted by AVIConverter or viDrop (Generic Rockchip 320x240 Preset). For those videos, sound is played properly, but video is made from green and violet bricks. At some moments small parts of picture are shown normally, but most of the time picture is consisting of thick horizontal lines of green and violet colors.
Can anyone tell where can be the problem or what may be the solution?

It may be a video codec issue.
Does the converted video play fine on your computer or also with the same green and violet bricks?
What video format is the original video you are trying to convert?
