Can't convert WMV to AMV. Old Laptop-Most Codecs dont work
 

I have a silver iPod look-alike and my laptop is old. I have a Compaq Presario 1275 and I had installed Combined Community Codec Project before and I had removed it to save space.

I tried to re-install CCCP and it said that my laptop doesnt have SSE support.

So I'm not sure what to do. I used AMV Converter 4.00 and the AMV Converter included in MP3 Utilities 5.09 and it gets stuck at 0% but the red progress bar looks like its at 1%.

Is there anything I can do about the codecs or anything?

Have you tried different types of video files as well just in case it's that particular video that's having problems converting?
Try some .avi as well as .wmv etc.....
Also try changing the quality to "medium" or "low" as well to see if that helps.
If it gets stuck, generally it's an issue with the codec.

You might also try a different version of the AMV Converter as well just incase.
